- We just had a pedicure so of course we had the girly toe separators, and those oh-so
sturdycomplete trash flip flops they provide you with. - Also, our feet were super clean and smooth.
- We had a fresh coat of toe nail polish on - just waiting to be chipped.
- We were parked on the backside of the building...that's quite a bit of walking.
There's no question, any time I spend time with Southernly Smitten, it's bound to be an eventful night and I am always guaranteed an amazing time full of laughs. And when we met up after work today for pedicure, it was all of the above........and more.
We found a really cute place! It was precious on the inside and we both enjoyed the relaxing environment while also getting a chance to catch up. Oooo my little feet felt so wonderful when we were done! Plus, I found a great Fall color that I fell in love with! Oh, but guess what? I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS CALLED. I have been researching all night. I promise I'd know it if I saw it...but it's no where to be found on the OPI website. Bummer, right? I know. Note: Next time I find a color I love...take. a. picture.
Anywho, after our feet were smooth and painted a wonderful deep purple color for these fall-ish days we are experiencing, Brittany and I headed to our cars.
Really important points to remember as this story continues:

Anywho, after our feet were smooth and painted a wonderful deep purple color for these fall-ish days we are experiencing, Brittany and I headed to our cars.
Really important points to remember as this story continues:
Picture us heading to our cars...broken flip flops and all. Then it happens.......Brittany notices the red sticker on my window, which in turn means..........two boots on my sweet little innocently parked car.
Cue: Lots of screaming, lots of running in different directions with bare feet (Brittany to talk to the owners of the salon, and me to negotiate with the booter man himself).
Turns out Brittany was way more successful than my negotiation skills. Oh, I tried and I tried to get him to cut the price and just pocket my money. Oh how I tried.
I had already decided that this meant I had to cough up the money and be on my way. BUT WAIT...Brittany and the owner of Sugarcoat came to the rescue! That's right ladies...the owner PAID to un-boot my car. Gasp, I know. You should have seen me. I hugged her and exclaimed about how I would tell everyone we knew about it. I even through in the, I work in PR and will talk about you!!
Now that's what I call customer service. There's no reason she needed to do that (besides the fact that they absolutely do not tell you where to park)! So if you do go, use their complimentary valet service. You bet your bottom I will be next time!
The sweetness of that lady absolutely made my night, and I promise I'll be passing a good deed on to many people. I am definitely inspired, and think it's just amazing the kindness in people's hearts.
After the booting situation died down, food was much needed. We found an amazing pizza place near by and oh it hit the spot.
I also got to have my first Harvest Moon of the season and it was just what I needed after our whirl-wind of events!
If you're still reading this post, then bless you. This was quite a beast to get through. But it was a story I could not fail to leave off this digital scrapbook.
Needless to say, the night ended with lots of laughs, pretty toes still, but shew were the bottom of my feet black from running around that parking lot! I came home and immediately scrubbed them down! yuck. Oh, this is where I should also admit that I sat in my car after the fiasco and rubbed them down in antibacterial hand sanitizer.
Anybody else have an eventful Thursday night?? Happy almost Friday! xoxo.
