Happy Weiner Schnitzel Day!

Did you know that a Weiner Schintzel isn't a hot dog, but an Austrian meal consisting of a thin cutlet of veal coated in flour, egg, and breading, which is then sautéed in oil and butter until crispy? In German "schnitzel" means a boneless veal cutlet. Add bread crumbs and fry it, and you have Wiener Schnitzel! It's how we got the American Chicken Fried Steak (WS recipe brought over by the Germans & Austrians and tweeked a little)! Now this is something to celebrate! Have a wonderful weekend! Happy Friday! xoxo, Julie
