2 Years

2 years is a long time...that's 730 days. Take away a few days for vacations and weekends and that's how long C has been at his job! 2 YEARS!!!

It was really no big deal to him...but of course, I thought it was worth a little celebration :)

2 years ago on his first day of work, I was in town and made my own rendition of a cookie cake as a "proud of you/yay for your first day!" something to come home to. His favorite cake in the world is a cookie cake from Great American Cookie Company, but that year I decided to be thrifty and make one myself.

Now that I'm a working girl I never could have pulled off making a cookie as a surprise, so I called the other day to order him a "Congrats on 2 years" cookie from Great American Cookie Company (shew, that's a long name)! He deserves more than a cookie for all of his hard work but I knew he would appreciate it! Not to mention it was so delicious!

Once I got home with the cookie our plan was to head to dinner. Little did we know that a big storm was heading our way, so we scratched our initial go eat out on a patio and enjoy the night plans and didn't want to get too far from the apartment with the weather, so we went to On The Boarder for a little Mexican. We still sat on their patio, but it was covered, so when the rain did come we figured we would be fine!

And oh boy did the rain come! It got really dark all of a sudden and then it just started to pour! Everyone ran around and pulled down some shades to keep the rain from coming in on the patio, but that didn't stop the wind, loud thunder or big lightening!

One of my favorite things in the world is a good thunderstorm, so to be "outside" in it was so much fun! You can't tell from the picture but it was raining so very hard!

It was a monster of a storm and we knew it would take a while for it to pass on by, so we decided to order a drink and enjoy our time!

It was a perfect night and after we finished up our mini celebration we went and met some of C's friends from work for a drink and to watch the Hockey game!

It may not be a big deal to him, but to me I just think it's so amazing he's been there for 2 years. It's hard for a lot of people to stick with anything, let along a job, for that long, but it doesn't surprise me that he has. It's one of the things I love and admire most about him, he's a hard worker and sticks to anything, even when the going gets tough! I only hope I can follow in his successful foot steps as I start out in my career!

Graduation from UNC 2 years ago.

Congratulations on an amazing 2 years full of success, boo! There are so many more years of great things waiting for you! I love you!
