budgeting and saving

It's monday morning and I'm getting to hang around the apartment today and finish the 101 things on my to-do list (thanks mlk!)...I'm soaking in every second of this day off from work!

I've got doctors appointments to make, money and savings to get moved around,  laundry that needs to be done and some organizing that I just cannot go another day without taking care of.

It's days like this that make me realize I wouldn't be too shabby at having a part-time job. Holy smokes, could you imagine the work you could get done if you just worked part time? I like to think my house would be in perfect order and everything would always be done on time...but we all know that's a lie, right?

Now...to the purpose of this post. I am no budgeting expert, but this is something I want to share with all of you! In honor of my "2012 plan" to save, this app/website has become my very best friend.

Have you ever heard of mint??
It's genius. It's mind-blowing. And I use it every single day.

It keeps perfect track of every single account of money you have.
It keeps track of your debits and credits and let's you budget each month, and boy does it let you know when you've spent too much.

I've included a few screenshots below of all the greatness of mint!
It shows how much cash you have, how much you've spent, where you've spent it and where you stand on your categorical budgets.
    When I said genius...I wasn't kidding.

Anyways, I know there are a lot of us making resolutions to save money this year...and be better about spending.
Which is why I couldn't keep this little secret to myself.

Let me know if you have any questions! I hope this is helpful for you :)
