Super Bowl Party

Whether you like football or not, the Super Bowl is a fun excuse to get everyone together on a Sunday! What are they waiting for?

When am I going to be casted as part of the Moden Family cast??? 
...does that not seem like the most fun job in the world? 
I'd pack up my bags, move to LA and take that job in a heart beat. 
... What are they waiting for?? I realize maybe it's just for the perfect part for me, but come on...I wouldn't be picky at all. 

...and then I'd love every.single.minute of getting to walk the red carpet at award shows. I l-o-v-e love award shows. Love. I plop down on the couch and C suffers through the whole thing. 
I love the dresses, I love the hair, I love the celebrities and I love the acceptance speeches. 

Which is why, last night, I was right here on the couch enjoying the SAG awards. 

Wanna know my favorite looks from last night??? You probably don't...but just in case :) 




 This dress would have made me a nervous wreck all night. 
Walking would have exposed a bit much, no? 
But I guess if I had legs like that...I wouldn't much 
care about the sacrifices to show them off. 



I want to be best friends with John Kransinski. 
And Emily Blunt can hang out with us too. 
...plus, she's the only girl who can pull off that green dress.



 Clooney will always be a heart throb. Always. 
He is a good looking man, and I will always think that. 
Yum. 
Oh...and his lady...gorgeous! I have always 
thought Stacy Keebler was beautiful...and she looks even better on his arm...plus, I love that black lace dress!



 The always fabulous, Julie Bowen. 



I love her. 
She's gorgeous and has an amazing personality! 
She's HILARIOUS. And always a red carpet hit.

First of all, y'all cracked me up yesterday. I was caught many times laughing at my phone at your hilarious comments!
You might not have helped me on my quest to be 'right' but y'all are hilarious and made my day.

And just so you don't think I'm completely crazy...I let the water warm up before it hits me, I just like to wait to turn it on before I get in there :) ha. Super weirdo.

This is what Atlanta has looked like
for days and days and days. 
We finally got some sun this week, 
but the rain is back today!

I joined a gym this week!!!!
I've been to kickboxing and zumba, 
and I already feel like a new person. 
I am really enjoying it. WOO 2012!

Poll...please help stop this madness!

It's madness. Complete madness in this apartment...

Here's the problem. 

I like to turn the water on AFTER I get in the shower...
C thinks I'm crazy, and I think he's crazy, because well...he turns his water on BEFORE he gets in the shower. 

...sure, an everyday problem to look over in most households I'm sure...but I need to win this one. I need to prove I'm not completely loony. 

So, just this once...even if you don't ever comment, help me out this time. 
Just leave me a 'before' or 'after'. 
Maybe now you think I'm crazy to even bring this up...but let's be honest...a girl needs a win every now and then.

p.s. (this has nothing, NOTHING to do with this post) but...has anyone else noticed the insane amount of commercials that Sofia Vergara is in these days??? I'm a huge fan, and think she's gorgeous. I think all of the brands are genius...but she really is everywhere! Nice marketing people!

Waking up in this bedroom, after a good nights sleep...





Then going to throw my robe on and brush my teeth, in this bathroom...




Going to fix a delicious breakfast in this kitchen...






Then spend the rest of the day hanging out in my back yard...





Then of course, I'd want to go have a nice glass of wine on my porch...





Right before putting on this little beauty to go out to dinner...

and well, now let's just be honest...If I had spent my whole Wednesday doing the above, and had the laundry room below...I certainly wouldn't mind throwing in a load of laundry before I went to bed. 



However, since this beautiful Wednesday will not be spent with any of the above...
I'll be loving...my perfectly perfect life, that even with all of this fabulous stuff, if it wasn't for the people I DO have all of the fabulousness above wouldn't be worth a darn thing!

Poppy Seed Chicken

I made an old sorority house comfort food favorite last night, Poppy Seed Chicken! It was delicious and very easy. Served with green beans with butter and Slap Yo Mama Seasoning, plus some Pillsbury croissant rolls, it was perfect for a lazy night in! Happy Tuesday! xoxo, Julie










Prep: 10 min., Bake: 40 min.

Ingredients
3 cups chopped cooked chicken
1  (10 3/4-oz.) can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1  (16-oz.) container sour cream
3 teaspoons poppy seeds
31  round buttery crackers, crushed
1/4 cup butter, melted

Preparation
1. Combine first 4 ingredients. Spoon mixture into lightly greased 11- x 7-inch baking dish.
2. Stir together cracker crumbs and melted butter; sprinkle evenly over casserole.
3. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
I use Keebler Town House crackers

Ohhhhhh the Bachelor

It's true. I'm a sucker for The Bachelor. 


I'm a sucker for the awkwardness and the drama...and I laugh all night long at it. 
I'm sorry if you don't watch The Bachelor....you'll hate this post. 
It'll be painless though. Promise. 
It's more painful to watch the show..I'm proud of you for not.
But truthfully, it's one of the better comedies on TV now...well except for Modern Family...and Last Man Standing...and Big Bang Theory. 
Anywho, on we go.... 






Here's my quick recap...


• Rachel...the bad communicator...who couldn't say a word to Ben...well, I have a theory on why she got the rose. Ben wanted s'mores, and the only way to get to s'mores is to not send the girl home. Heck, I would have done it too. I l-o-v-e s'mores! Nom. 









• I could have 27 bullet points dedicated to sweet Courtney...I'll keep it short and sweet though. 
• ...why can't she be nice? and WHY WHY...did she have to beg and trick her way in to that rose on the group date?? I was that girl yelling at the TV. DON'T DO IT BEN (sort of like how I yelled when he got down on one knee in front of Ashley)!!! Poor Ben. Wonder what he thinks as he sits and watches this now? 
• ...anyone else get the sense of psychopath when watching her talk? Oh that girl scares me. I would be locking my bedroom door every night because of her. If the producers are making her act this way, then BRAVO to her...what an actress!
• COURTNEY PLUCK YOUR EYEBROWS...okay, I feel better :) thanks friends! Had to get that out. 
• Truth be told, I actually feel bad for judging her and saying these things. For all I know, she could be precious and we could be best friends, but from what I have seen...I HIGHLY DOUBT IT. In true southern girl fashion...bless her heart. 
• Oh...one more thing. Anyone else thinks she looks like Michael Jackson???? It's there! I promise. Look closely! 
• Ohhhh...last thing I promise. C thought it was so laughable that she kept saying 'winning'. Yes...I made my boyfriend watch it...I'm going to need to come up with something really sweet to make up for that! 
• Short and sweet? Sorry...I guess I actually did get pretty close to 27 bullets :) 



• Alright...I know there aren't many Ben fans out there, but he is my FAVORITE BACHELOR EVER. EVER. No? You don't agree? 
• But he's such a gentleman! 
• He's so REAL
• He's honest
• He's not a pretty boy like all the other bachelors 
• He runs through rain and screams like a little kid 
• He makes funny jokes 
• He's cute...even if he has fuzzy hair 
• He's a GENTLEMAN. Oh, I already said that? 
• Nowwww...do you love Ben? 

• WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER: I have a huge biased love for Kacie B. What a sweet, sweet girl. I'm calling it now. He's putting a ring on it. 
• p.s. normally I read the spoilers, but I've kept my self away from them this year. It's driving me crazy not knowing, but it's also so fun to get to play along and guess! 
• Now...she and I would be best friends. For sure. Love her. Ben loves her too...I just know it. 



One last thing...how do ALL of these girls remember water-proof mascara, but poor little Miss America didn't??? 
Did any of y'all see that poor girl when she won??? She was a mess. 
It must be a requirement on this show. I applaud them. 
Nothing worse than crying mascara down your face...or jumping in a pool being all romantic and looking like a racoon. Nicely done girls, even if you are all crazy :)
