in the blink of an eye

    It's been a busy day.

I woke up and was out the door (almost close to on time) and on my way to work!
I had a lovely morning chat with the sweet lady I get to call my Mama and then worked away at all things Public Relations and Social Media in the advertising world.
I got to come home for lunch and enjoy a yummy (I say yummy, but I swear our deli meat was old, Charlie just threw it out, PTL!) sandwich with my cute lunch date.
My what should have been one-hour lunch break turned in to a quick 30 minute meal because I had to run back to work. But HELLO, 30 minutes with him guaranteed a fun afternoon so I wasn't complaining.
I went back to work (got the most lovely text message from my T-Dad that made my day) and before I blinked it was coming up on 5:00 and the day was over!
Luckily, I came across 50% off at Banana Republic today, which means...I told everyone at work about it. Just like that, I had a crew of 5 people wanting to head to BR and we were off!
After much shopping and much trying on (i'll share my finds tomorrow), we were out of the mall by 7:15. Thankfully we live RIGHT across the street from home and I was back here in the blink of an eye.
It was time for dinner, and tonight we had veggie burgers and tater tots (yum. my favorite.).
We ate dinner we chatted and caught up, and then it was back to the kitchen to clean up and make a dish for Charlie's potluck at work tomorrow.
Bam. Got that made, then back to the couch to watch our recorded Modern Family episode (I laughed the entire time. HILARIOUS. BEST SHOW. WATCH IT NOW AND EVERY WEDNESDAY AFTER THAT.)
    I realize I need a shower, look at the clock...and it's, 10:30!!!!!...

...WHAT! Where the heck did today go? It is 10:30, and while a lot has been knocked off my to-do list, I just do not know where the time goes.

Does anybody else feel this way? Like you run 100 miles an hour and then finally look at the clock and the day has passed you before you know it!

This just tells me one thing. While being busy is great, and something I really enjoy! I have got to take a second every now and then to not let an hour pass me by without noticing it.

This world is a beautiful place. Even on busy days, somewhere between the laundry, cooking and making a pay check, I want to be sure there's a little time for a deep breath and a big thank you to the man upstairs for all I have in the world.

I'm not complaining about being busy. I'm just saying...I love life and I don't want these days to get any faster (as I hear they do the older you get). I'm going to soak them in and take them for every second they are worth! XOXO.
