Did you guys know this past weekend was Lucille Ball's 100th Birthday??
Even better...to celebrate, the Hallmark Channel played a marathon of I Love Lucy episodes ALL weekend!!
Fun Fact: I had an "I Love Lucy" lunchbox in elementary school...and even wrote a "story" in the 2nd grade about my very favorite episode "vitameatavegamin" :) obsessed!
So, needless to say...I love, I Love Lucy and so enjoyed catching up on some of my favorite episodes this past weekend.
I just can't say enough about what a timeless show this is! Made in the 50's and here I am in the midst of lap tops, cell phones, ipads and reality TV shows, still wanting more and more of the Ricardo's and Mertze's.
As I'm writing this blog this morning I've already enjoyed my breakfast and a good episode of Home Improvement and Saved By The Bell. Those shows may not be as old, but I think they are two of the better shows TV has to offer! Right?
I am a lover of TV shows here in the year 2011, and yes...my guilty pleasure is invested in a lot of shows that are on TV today.
But...there just isn't anything on TV that compares to these 3 shows anymore. Good, clean, timeless television and shows that I hope my kids will get to enjoy one day. These shows will out beat the Kardashians and any Bachelor or Bachelorette any day! Come on...Jake Pavelka has nothing on Zac Morris and Slater!
Again, it's not to say I don't love what is on TV these days...but I will always want these shows around.
Do you have any timeless shows from when you were younger that you still love to catch a good episode of?
