You all know my love for new months...but let me let you in on the secret of my love for the month of OCTOBER! Oh, I'm just smitten. Such a perfect month, full of perfect weather, perfect pumpkins and all things perfectly fall :) I hope the beginning of this perfect month has started out just well...perfectly for you! HA! How many times did I just say perfect?? 6 times people. 6 times. That's just wrong.
You know what a new month means! A new download from ABD! This little beauty is the wallpaper for my iPhone right now! Don't you just love it?!
Go download your very own, here!
We had a weekend that was just the right kind of busy, and just the right kind of relaxing. However, I told you lies on Friday :( I talked about how I was going to get caught up with the blog world...and I failed, I failed miserably. After my weekend recap, I hope you'll find it in your heart to forgive me! I am so very sorry. I'm getting on responding to emails this week though! This, I promise :)
Want to know what kept me from it????? Nerves. Nerves about the Clemson football team. More to come on that in a bit!!
Friday night, my sweet date and myself headed to a restaurant in town called Nava. We sat outside, and boy was it chilly! I loved it though, it was great company and the food was just delicious! Charlie had lamb, and I went with the tortilla crusted mahi-mahi. Cannot say enough about how amazing the food and service was. Charlie's meal was DELICIOUS! Mine was also really great. But he won for best meal that night, hands down!
Saturday...oh Saturday. I woke up thinking about the Clemson game, and I didn't start until that clock winded down last night. I am so thankful we were able to pull off a win. The fact that we were ranked #8 in the country is just baffling to me! I am so proud of my tigers and am just so grateful we are finally getting noticed!! There's still a long season ahead and I just can't tell you how much I hope we stay on this successful stretch. YAY TIGERS! One of my favorite bloggers, Sarah, is a Hokie so I'm hoping she's not holding the win against me :) It was such a good game! I just knew it was going to be a beating. VT is really really good and definitely our biggest competition in the ACC!
Charlie and I spent Saturday "tailgating" at home. Munching on yummy snacks and drinking yummy beer with fall scented candles burning in the background!
We tried so hard to meet up and celebrate with Southernly Smitten, but the night got the best of us...staying awake past 11:00 became quite a feat!

Pigs in a blanket.
One of my favorites!
Buffalo chicken dip.
Oh. My. Gosh.
SO GOOD!
Sweet Ashley had mentioned this a while back,
and I just knew I had to try it.
I have always loved Shock Top...
throw in some pumpkin and HOLY GOODNESS!
Sunday we hung out with some of Charlie's friends from work and watched football. It was certainly a weekend full of football and sweet memories! We've got laundry done, the dishwasher empty and now we are on the couch enjoying the rest of this Sunday night!
I am so very thankful for the weekends and so giddy over this new month!
What did your weekend hold? How did your football team do??
