What I've been up to lately... :)

Hey ya'll! I am trying to get caught up on my blogging and thought I would catch you up on what has been going on with me. Besides being busy at the studio, I have been moving to a new house in Blackman (just north of Murfreesboro), I have been traveling to see family and friends, and I have had family in town! So sorry if I have been a little behind on blogging! Over the next day I hope to get caught up on some things, including some of my latest wedding shoots, and the red carpet shoot I did at the CMT awards! Look for those posts very soon.

In the meantime, check out these shots of my little sis! My little sister Alicia came into town last week to see me from Chicago. Her and I usually do a girls trip every year and in leiu of that we decided to just hang in Nashville this year and catch up.... She is a hairstylist at one of the best salons in the Chicago suburbs, and so we always trade ... a haircut for a photo shoot... I love trades :) I needed to scout locations for some upcoming shoots, so her and I spent a few hours driving around all of Nashville coming up with some new ideas for locations. We were having a blast just shooting in all different spots until I looked up and noticed a security guard heading toward us. I thought surely I was about to get kicked out of the location we were at, but it turned out the security guard just wanted to model for us! HA! He ended up posing and working the camera for a good 3 or 4 minutes, it was HILARIOUS. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the session, including the security guard doing his best to look intimidating... LOL... Jakob's newborn photos!

One of my best friends brought her adorable baby boy, Jakob, in this week! She has the most amazing boys, they are fun, laid back, and never in a bad mood (well, okay maybe I shouldn't say "never" haha). We had a great shoot and Jakob tolerated us putting him in all kinds of crazy positions, he is a trooper! Check out his adorable little chubby cheeks! He finally got a little upset at the end when he was getting hungry... That shot is HILARIOUS, I think sometimes the moody shots are just as cute as the smiley ones, LOL. Hope you love the previews Katie and it is GREAT to see you doing so well!!!

Bridget's Fitness Shots

Bridget came to the studio yesterday to get some updated shots for her new fitness website! She is starting an amazing free site to help motivate women to get in shape. Can you believe she doesn't even belong to a gym?!!! She is one motivated gal, all of her workouts are done at her house. We were going for a Women's Health look and I am really happy with how they turned out! Bridget, I hope you love your previews, and let us know when your site is up and running!

Victoria's headshots!

This gorgeous girl came in this week with her mom and make-up artist to get some updated headshots. Victoria has had success in Tennessee pageants and is moving on to the national level! She is so sweet and photogenic, I know she'll do great! Good luck Victoria!

Bob's Headshots

I really enjoyed working with Bob from the DAN Agency last week! (Thanks to Josh for sending him over!) He did great in front of the camera, and check out those awesome blue eyes... Bob, I really enjoyed meeting you, you are one cool dude!

The Spence Family!

One of my favorite clients, Rachel Spence and family, came to see me a couple of days ago!!! We had so much fun at Centennial park getting some updated shots of the kiddos... We then continued to a fun wall on Charlotte Pike where we were able to get some more colorful contemporary shots of the family! We had a blast and the kids were great! (Some bribing with Skittles was involved LOL)..... Rachel is prego with her 4th little one, and I cannot wait to meet the new addition to the family... Stay tuned for those shots in a few months!

Lone Starlets come to Nashville....

I had SOOO much fun working with the Lone Starlets last week! Megan, Maddie and Mallory were in town from Texas to record with producer Steve Ivey. They managed to fit a photo shoot into their busy schedule while they were here and let me just tell you, they totally ROCKED it! From their amazing wardrobe- to their perfect hair and makeup - and awesome attitude in front of the camera - I mean, this was the perfect photo shoot! Not only are they amazingly beautiful, but they have real talent to boot. Our intern Shelby and I were lucky enough to have them play us a private concert in their RV and they were so talented. Watch for them on the music scene very soon!

Girls, I reallly enjoyed working with you, and thanks to mom and dad for coming along and helping with everything!

Annie turns one!

This is my 5th shoot with the gorgeous Annie. She and her mom came prepared to celebrate with toys, balloons, and cupcakes. As luck would have it, it was raining...again! It has rained every time they have a shoot. It cleared up a bit for us to finally get some outside shots. She made me work today, but they turned out adorable.

Katie Morrison's Bridal Photos...

Okay, so this might be one of my all time FAVORITE bridal shoots. We were able to get SO many amazing shots of this day, I don't even know how they are going to pick just one to enlarge!!! Katie Morrison was an absolute doll to work with for her bridal photos... She and her mom were able to secure 2 really cool locations, the first was a friend's estate on Tyne boulevard, which was one of the most beautiful properties I have ever seen. The landscaping was beautiful, they had a pool complete with a waterfall, and an unlimited # of really awesome places to shoot. I could have shot out there for a week! We then rode down to Franklin to go to a farm that Katie had spent a lot of time on growing up. We almost got stampeded by a bunch of curious cows (at one point they were even LICKING our cars haha!!!), but we managed to get a million amazing shots of Katie. Isn't she beautiful? Molly & Avery

Meet Molly and her little brother Avery! They came into the studio with mom & dad to get Molly's four year photos, and Avery's 9 month pics. These two were lots of fun! Molly was very excited to get her pictures done and could not wait to get some in her fairy princess dress! Avery was all smiles, such a cutie!

Meet Christina!

This gorgeous girl came in today to get some photos taken, just because, which I love! Why wait! She looked great (with a little help from our fantastic make-up artist Kelly) and brought really cute, colorful outfits along with one fab black dress.
