Mary Kate!

I really enjoyed working with Mary Kate from CMT today. She was the cutest thing ever, she came in today and told me right off the bat that she absolutely HATED having her photo taken! Haha! Girl I feel your pain! You know, believe it or not I hate having my pic taken as well. I am SO uncomfortable in front of the camera it isn't even funny... Which is why I think I am so comfortable BEHIND the camera.... Anyway, I think we got some amazing shots, especially considering we did her entire shoot in 20 minutes! Carrie Griggs!!!

Carrie came in to get some shots for her comp card! This girl was so fun to hang out with. So much energy and style! I loved it! Props to Kelly  our makeup artist for making this already gorgeous girl look her best during the shoot. Check out some of her shots and enjoy!

Winners of our last contest: Leigh Jones & Family!

Leigh and her beautiful family were the winners of the free photo shoot drawing last month! They came in this weekend and shot with one of our newest associates, Rachel. Rachel did an amazing job of capturing some great shots and making them feel comfortable in front of the camera! Here is what Rachel and Leigh had to say about the shoot:

Amanda works for CMT and came in needing some new headshots. She is one of those people that "HATES" having her picture made. I think she is nuts--look how great she looks!

1 year-old Scarlett

Can you believe this beautiful princess is already 1 year-old?!? Seems like I was shooting her 3 month photos just last week... Scarlett is walking, talking, and still ripping those bows of her head. Ha ha. She is the cutest thing and I'm going to miss seeing her every 3 months. :(

Back in the Saddle Again! Almost.

Hey everyone!  Well it is hard to believe it has been almost 3 months since my shoulder surgery but in one week I will be back up and running, ready to take on shoots again!  YAY!  A big thanks to the Titan's doc, Dr. Burton Elrod, for doing an amazing job on my shoulder.  I honestly cannot believe how quickly it has healed and how small my scars are!  


So what have I been doing with all of my time off, you ask?  Well, for starters I just got back from the WPPI photography convention in Las Vegas, where I learned some amazing new techniques and got to test out all of the industry's newest and greatest products.  I caught up with my friend/hero Joe McNally , my friend/superblogger Syl Arena , and my photojournalist friends including Eric Parsons , Dana Rene and many others.  It was a great time and I learned sooo much!




I am totally stoked about this new year, it is going to be our best year ever.  Not only have I had time to brainstorm and come up with some great ideas and techniques, but I have also upgraded my camera gear so that your photos are the absolute best they can be!  We also have been getting ultra organized around the office so that from now on everything will run much smoother around there.  


As of March 1st we will also be welcoming Mandy Whitley as our studio manager!  Mandy has been working with us for 2 years as an assistant and associate photographer and we are very excited that she will be taking over this position.  I feel that we have come to the point where we need regular office hours to better serve you all, so Mandy will be in the studio Monday-Thursday/Friday 9-1 pm to oversee everything.  Brooke has done an AMAZING job of holding the fort down for the past few years, but with her adorable new baby it is a little too hard for her to come in every day.  Of course Brooke will still be with us, we are just shifting her responsibilities a bit so that she can be at home with Averie a little more.  :)  She will still be available for all of your photo shoots and she will be helping out with all of the behind-the-scenes projects such as processing and retouching!  Speaking of Brooke and Averie, check out how adorable Averie is!  This is one of the latest photos Brooke took of her... She is just cute as a button!




Soo... I feel a contest coming on to celebrate all of the good news!  Stay tuned, either tomorrow or Tuesday I will be posting all of the juicy details on our next free giveaway....

The Snyder family came in to get some shots yesterday! Such a sweet and cute family! I had such a great time with the whole Bunch. Alexa K.

Max, Jen, and Alexa came in again today because sweet Alexa is already 8 months old! This little one was absolutely adorable and I really had a hard time narrowing down which ones to post. Just check out her amazing eyes (that she obviously got from her mommy)!! Dad and I worked out a deal where I could be her agent when her modeling career takes off. ;)

Miss Amanda Hoover

I had so much fun with this girl yesterday! Amanda just got signed with AMAX here in Nashville and came in to get some headshots and some shots for her comp card. Amanda took advantage of are wonderful stylist, Virginia. She helped out Amanda with her wardrobe, did her hair and make-up, and also helped her with her posing and looks!
