The Place Family!

Hey everyone! I'm Rachel-- one of Krista's newest associate photographers! I'm finishing up my internship and am really excited about working with Krista and our crew! Here's my most recent shoot..

This family had so much fun together! They wanted their photos taken at Percy Warner, so I got to meet them there! I love shooting at different locations around town- good pick guys! Max and Spencer are great kids and were fun to photograph! Hope you enjoy :)

Trina and Dean's Wedding...

Another beautiful wedding at Cedarwood! I tell ya, it is nearly impossible to get bad photos out at that place. I had so many favorites I spent all afternoon trying to whittle these down, only to just give up and put them all on here! The rest of the photos are uploading to the event site as we speak (right side link).. I really enjoyed sharing Trina and Dean's day with them, they were a hoot! I especially love how they took over the DJ booth halfway through the night LOL!! I hope you all love them!

Christine's Headshots..

Christine was referred to us by our friend and client, Nicole Murphy! Christine is currently looking for an agent, and came to us to get some headshots to submit to agencies. She was a lot of fun to work with and I was very pleased with the results! Here are a few previews for ya!

Sesler Fam..

I had a great time working with the Sesler family this week, we lucked out and had a decent day (despite the wind) and we got a huge variety of shots! We did some more straightforward shots, then some fun ones to mix it up a bit. Jordan and Cole rocked it out with their rock star poses at the end... Ha! Enjoy the sneek peeks! :)-Krista

Lilly's photos!!

Look at this face!! I don't know how her parents Ashley and Chris ever tell her no, this lil munchkin has the cutest little face I have ever seen! Enjoy the previews ya'll.... And Amy, we missed you!!!

    :) Krista

Thanksgiving...

I hope all of you have a happy and safe Thanksgiving this year! Despite the crazy economy I am very thankful that I have my health, family, and all of our amazing clients. You all mean so much to me and I am glad that I have been able to share in a part of your life... And capture memories for you for years to come!

Thank you for your love and support! Now, go eat some turkey!!

    :)

Veronica Leigh

I had the opportunity to photograph my friend and amazing singer/songwriter Veronica Leigh last week! During our planning session she told me how she wanted to go for a vintage look (which is right up my alley....) Thanks to friends and craigslist she was able to round up some A-M-A-Z-I-N-G props, including 2 vintage cars and some stellar outfits. It was a very cold day but Veronica was a total rock star and owned it... You would have no idea it was, like, 30 degrees out while we were shooting her car shots! We took an entire afternoon and evening shooting and got a wide variety of looks. Here are a few sneek peeks for you... Oh, and check out her music HERE !!

Hope you all have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

Osburn-Johnson Wedding

I am absolutely in love with these photos! Christy and Bobby were so much fun to work with and we had a blast at Taproot Farm in Franklin. It was a beautiful day, and the location reminded me of something you would see in the Rockies!

    Hope you love the photos!

The Tolliver Family

I had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Ridge Top (a place I had never been since moving to TN) to shoot Nikki's Tolliver's immediate and extended family right before her parents 50th anniversary party! The weather tried not to cooperate with us, but everyone braved the cold and drizzle and we got great shots of all the families there. Here are some of my favorites!

This one is going to take some explaining...

Okay ... Before anyone gets all bent out of shape about this photo ... It is joke.

I have several heroes in life, and the order goes something like this: Jesus, my parents, my grandparents and Joe McNally. For those of you who are not familiar with Joe McNally, he is a world-renowned National Geographic and Life photographer. He has AMAZING work and unbelievable stories of the jobs he has photographed. The man is a living legend. Seriously.

I was able to study with him a couple of years ago in Santa Fe for a week (after being on a waiting list for over a year). It was an amazing experience and he really helped take my photography to the next level. On one of the last days of class we had to do a mock fashion shoot. I was totally in my zone... working it... doing my thing... when all the sudden I hear Joe yell at me, "Hey, Machine gun Krista! Give everyone else a chance to shoot, huh?" I turn around only to realize the the rest of the class was staring at me. Apparently I was tripping everyone else's strobes every time I hit the shutter... and for the previous 10 minutes no one else was able to shoot. Ooops. (By the way, this was a timed "test"). SO.... I never lived that one down, and the name apparently still follows me around. My friend texted me this afternoon to tell me that Joe had mentioned me (a.k.a Machine Gun Krista) on his blog. I couldn't believe it! I think I am going to frame it and hang it on the wall, right next to my photo with Joe in Santa Fe :)

I had to have SOMETHING fun to post on his site as a comment, so what better than a tribute photo to my new nickname... A special shout out goes out to my friends Brien and Marita for the props, clothing and photography. This photo would not have been possible without them! (Photo by Marita Wright. Styling by Brien Blanford.)
The look on Brien's face in this one just cracks me up. "You wanna do what?"

DeSouza Twins are 6mo. old!

These little guys were so much fun! They came in to get some Christmas shots and they are now 6mo. old. I can't believe how much they have grown since the last time they were here. Check out some of their shots and enjoy!

Jason Burkey!

Jason came to us to get some headshots. He is working with one of our awesome clients the Block Agency. Jason just moved here from Chicago so this cold weather we are having is not phasing him a bit! Here are a few of his shots. It was great working with you Jason and we wish you all the luck with the Block Agency!
